We loved having the V family in our home studio in Danville, California, for a family portrait session in the beautiful golden glow of fall.
It’s always fun to photograph siblings with such a broad age range between them. They go to three different schools—N is in high school, C is attending middle school, and R is in his final year of elementaryschool—and each have such distinct personalities. And yet, they were able to come together for the most amazing family pictures. We couldn’t ask for better subjects!
When the family came to our home studio, they were greeted by our “pound puppy,” Walter. He’s about 10 pounds, and we think he’s half chihuahua and half cairn terrier. He is absolutely the boss of the house and loves on anyone who enters. Sometimes, he even tries to get in the picture!
So, this time, Walter led the way to the creek, as he’s wont to do. Walter found a deer to chase, and R had a blast finding stones to toss into the creek—what boy doesn’t like that? We saw an egret there, too; lots of lovely scenery & fun to be had by all.
Our favorite image of the whole day, though, had to be the one that we took in front of the barn. It’s the perfect Christmas picture and really captures the whole family. A close second, though, would have to be the image of them on the hay bale. The light here in Danville at this time of year is always so pretty, and we can’t get enough of that warm, golden glow.
Thank you, K & S, for bringing your beautiful family out to our home studio! We loved adventuring with you and being able to meet your amazing kids.
