If you haven't already, it's about time you met my
BFF, Walter. He's a trouper and takes good care of me. I am not a very confident hiker; loose gravel slows me considerably.
As part terrier, Walter of course is pretty nimble & loves scrambling around on the rocks, on the lookout for rabbits & rodents.
However, when I start to slow down or falter a bit, he waits patiently for me and comes near to give his support. What a sweetheart!
He is usually pretty patient with me as my test subject, too -- posing him as I check lighting, backgrounds, props, etc.
EXCEPT when I place him by the creek. I don't know if he thinks I'm going to push him in (bath time???)
or what, but isn"t it hysterical how he crouches down, pulls his ears back, etc. It's pretty clear how he feels about things, isn't it?
Then see him on the rocks; the terrier in him tells him this is his happy place. Alert, perky, happy.
I love photographing him by the creek here in Eagle Crest!
Being a photographer in Redmond is such a blessing -- so many gorgeous backdrops!
Of course Bend and Sisters are pretty amazing, too -- actually, all of Central Oregon is photogenic!
